HUGE! XXXL Cherry Yarn Bowl for larger projects doubles as artful decor wherever it rests! Artisan crafted reclaimed cherry hardwood using a slow cure over a six month period. Over twelve coats of finish were applied and hand-buffed to bring out the rich character of nice cherry wood tones and interesting grains.
A final coat of imported museum wax was added to resist fingerprints and stains, making it smooth as glass and more durable than pottery. This piece is so shiny, it was difficult to photograph without reflections. |
Sized at a generous 12" in diameter with a depth of 4 1/2" this functional collectible has a classic bowl shape maximizing its storage space. Lots of details, include a gentle warp for added character, artful raised base and raised bands inside. The mirror-like finish is hard to capture in photos! Two large balls of worsted yarn or a giant ball of blanket yarn roll nicely (or try a "hub"), with plenty of extra room for your work, tools, etc., when set aside.
