Designed to make big yarn projects more portable and stash-busting easy to manage; when this bowl is unpacked for yarning, two balls of yarn will roll nicely. The fresh local camphor was crafted over a ten month period with an almost undetectable warp -rare as most of our hardwoods warp in varying degrees while curing. Over fourteen coats of finish and hand-buffing bring out the flowing grains with a gleaming finish. A final coat of imported museum wax was added to resist fingerprints and stains. And, the smaller opening makes this bowl "paw-proof" from prying kitties! Dimensions listed are approximate. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered; #1116 with "camphor" (species) engraved as well. A very special gift for yarn artists and wood lovers alike.
