LARGE HARDWOODS –you asked for 'em, they're finally here!

This cherry yarn bowl is the second in a long-requested line of large (sized) bowls made from hardwood (vs. our best-selling discontinued pine version). This piece is so brilliant it was difficult to photograh without reflections/lense flare. To show its brilliant shine, I decided not to photo-edit to remove all the white spots, reflections and artifacts you see here. Yes, I could have shot low light, but that would have flattened out this glorius finish, making the finish appear to be matt or satin. TMI?! Maybe. I call it dedication to true product representation.

At 5-1/4" (top opening) x 5-1/4" (depth) with a circumference of 21" around the middle, this yarn bowl is precisely sized to sit at your side for smoothly pulling the yarn on your hook while accommodating the largest ball of worsted or a couple fingering weight balls or skeins.

Features include a sapphire inspired inlay rim, silky spiral groove, cherry to butter tones touched by darker knots, grains and history marks. A hint of natural warp which screams "hand crafted" –a common feature in fresh turned wood art. It's nice and hefty too. This collectible "workhorse" bowl is the one yarning tool you won't want to work without.

Serious fiber artists love the deep sides which keeps the yarn from popping out of the bowl. A 5 oz. cake fits without collapsing when moved, and a skein of rolled worsted or large spool of crochet thread nestle nicely. Months in the making, this piece was sanded/finished over sixteen times to a reflective lasting finish set with a final coat of museum wax. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered by the artist; #611, dimensions listed are approximate.
