e,All we really need is the right shaped vessel to hold and hug our yarn on the hook, right!? This Extra Large Cherry Yarn Bowl is that and so much more! Features include Bob's unique spiral star groove, rolled rim detail, a surprise pool of gold sparkle inside, pretty grains, and brilliant finish; making this wood art a functional collectible you won't yarn without.

Measurements are 8" (top opening) x 5-1/2" (depth) outside dimensions. Circumference around the middle is a generous 25-1/2". For more on how we measure our yarn bowls using diameter vs. circumference and finding the best-sized yarn bowl for you, read "How Big is That Yarn Bowl?" here.

➤ ➤ ➤ PLEASE NOTE! It was impossible to shoot these pics without REFLECTIONS which were puposely left untouched to show the actual wood grains and brilliant shine.

All our extra large yarn bowls are designed to fit full 7oz. (larger) skeins of med weight worsted rolled for silky smooth pulling. No chance of your ball popping out of the bowl with this one! Several smaller fingering/DK weight balls or skeins, most yarn cakes (center feed, upside down!), and large spools of crochet cotton nestle nicely. Ideal for smaller projects –think socks, scarves mittens, all "Little Box" projects, with extra of space for extras when set aside –see pics for details.

TIP: This is the perfect vessel for "frogging". Frog into the bowl and yarn is undisturbed no matter how many interruptions you have.

Crafted over a three month period; it dried with a slight, even warp north to south for added interest. Over fourteen coats of finish/hand-buffing bring out the rich character of the wood tones and grains. A final coat of imported museum wax was added to resist fingerprints and stains. Dimensions listed are approximate. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered; #636 with "Cherry" (species) engraved as well. A wonderful gift for you or a fiber artist you love.
