ssThis XXL Juniper Yarn Bowl was crafted from a nice specimen of Juniper hardwood; the last of five unique bowls. Bob saved the best for last...Features include his unique, functional Fibonacci groove, smooth as silk and ready to lock in that yarn. The grains are sensational from light butter to deep caramel tones finished with a mirror-like shine. Inside is a small pool of deep copper sparkle amongst interesting scattered knots accented in deep brown. A multifunction yarn bowl with minimal warp, it has a 9"+ (top opening) and generous 5-1/4"  depth. Circumference is a big 29-1/2" around. When this oversized piece is unpacked for yarning, the biggest yarn cake, or two medium balls (shown) roll nicely. Or, pull several smaller balls of fine yarn from the top. It makes working with 8/2 and 8/4 cotton or several balls of fingering weight a breeze. What's not to love?

Over eighteen coats of finish/hand-buffing were applied with a final coat of imported museum wax added to resist fingerprints and stains. Dimensions listed are approximate. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered; #1182 with "Juniper" (species) engraved as well. Stunning in its simplicity –this is one we're not ready to part with!
