Made from an amazing length of aged spalted oak, this collectible yarn bowl has generous black line spalting (fine ink like lines) everywhere!

Roundly shaped with a nice open top, it holds an entire 7oz skein rolled with tons of room to spare (shown). Or, be lazy and just set one or two skeins upside down for smooth bottom pulling through the groove (until it tangles and you have to roll it, right?). This bowl is the perfect vessel for larger yarn cakes, especially when they get low and have a tendency to collapse.

Measurements are 8-5/8" (top opening) x 6" (depth). Circumference is 27" around the middle. Bob's signature Fibonacci yarn groove is graceful and silky smooth. So versatile, this bowl is perfect for sock, mitten or scarf projects, and ideal for working smaller balls or spools of fine cotton pulling from the top.

This piece was hand finished and buffed over time in twenty cycles to achieve its durable gloss  finish. A final coat of museum wax is applied before shipping to resist fingerprints.
