This Large (plus!) cherry yarn bowl measures 7" (top Dia) x 5-1/4" (tall) with a circumference of 24" around the middle; perfectly sized to rest at your side for smooth pulling. Most our Large yarn bowls accommodate a generous ball 7 oz. of med weight. worsted (shown), or several smaller Fingering/DK weight  balls, or average sized yarn cakes, or a big spool of cotton –they're so versatile. This piece has a bit of extra room to spare. From small projects like coasters, socks or hand warmers to a dedicated bowl for your yarn on the hook, you won't want to work without this functional collectible.

Features include a gunmetal sparkle inlaid rim, a graceful spiral star groove, nice cherry tones, history marks, and very interesting black grains which are quite unusual. Barely a hint of natural warp –a common feature in fresh turned wood which adds interest while reminding the beholder that nature has a mind of its own. The shine on this bowl is amazing even though it made photos difficult (with reflections showing the most on darkest tones). A bit of heft was added to the base. 

Months in the making, this fine specimen of cherry was sanded/finished over eighteen times to durable lasting shine set with a final coat of museum wax. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered by the artist; #635, dimensions listed are approximate
