​Generously shaped to hold an entire 7 oz skein with ease, this oversized, XL cherry yarn bowl is a workhorse with extra space. The silky "Fibonacci" spiral groove, beautiful wood tones and grains are nicely accented by a super shiny, durable finish that holds up brilliantly over time.

A 7 oz. ball of #4 weight "super" skein ball rolls well with room to spare, holding 7oz. +/- yarn cakes and oversized cakes for added versatility with plenty of room for smaller works (think scarves, gloves, mittens, hats). Optimum for knitting/crochet projects using a few balls or skeins of fine/dk/sport yarns. Also doubles as an ample frogging bowl, leaving frogged yarn easy to set aside. 

Crafted over a three-month period, this piece dried with an even, gentle east/west warp that screams artisan crafted. Sixteen plus cycles of hand-buffing/finish brings out the rich character of the wood tones, grains and stress marks. A final coat of museum wax is added to resist fingerprints and stains.
