Good as gold; this LARGE Cherry "Workhorse" Bowl #677 is definitely one-of-a-kind! The silky "Fibonacci" spiral yarn groove, and butter to deep cherry wood tones and grains are nicely accented by Bob's high polished finish which holds up brilliantly over time. A wide band of sparkling gold inlay is set under the funnel shaped rim with an echoed pool on the west back side. The decorative 1/4" raised base adds a bit of ballast.

This large bowl will cradle a full 7oz. "super saver" ball of #4 (worsted), average sized cakes (7oz +/-) or, a small knitting/crochet project using #0 - #3 weight fine/dk/sport yarn, or a large spool of crochet cotton (shown). Designed and tested to ensure that: the yarn won't pop out the top; yarn cakes keep their shape, and also double as a frogging bowl –leaving frogged yarn easy to put aside. 

Crafted over a four month period, this piece dried nice and round over time. sixteen plus cycles of hand-buffing/finish bring out the rich character of the wood tones and grains.
