aThis Large Cherry Yarn Bowl has aqua sparkle inlay set into the rim, beautiful tones, interesting grains and our unique star groove; all in a versatile yarn tool that will always be at your side when yarning. Nicely shaped with a 7-1/4"  diameter (top rim) x 5-3/2" tall. The pretty rolled rim rounds out to a generous 27-1/2" (circumference) around the middle. Get a feel for how big this yarn bowl is here and using diameter vs. circumference here. 

As for yarning, smaller yarn projects become more portable with panache. Easily pop in the biggest "Super Saver" ball of #4 worsted or a few small balls of fingering or fine cotton with room to spare for small tools when your work is artfully set aside. Keeps up to 7oz yarn cakes from collapsing, just flip the cake upside down and feed through the star groove for perfect pulling. Bob's signature "star groove" is whimsical and smooth as silk. A helpful tool for "frogging" –frog into the bowl and easily set the bowl aside if interrupted. 

This local cherry hardwood dried over a three month period resulting in an artful north-south warp. Several dark dots on either side of the groove remind us that trees have stressful times which indelibly leave their marks over that trees life span. Over fifteen coats of finish/hand-buffing bring out the brilliant shine, making it hard to shoot photos without reflections which pop on the darker tones when photographed. A final coat of imported museum wax is added before shipping to resist fingerprints and stains. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered; #701 with "Cherry" (species) engraved as well.
