This Large Cherry Yarn Bowl has a sparkling band of deep aqua sparkle inlay set into the rim, beautiful tones, grains, and Bob's unique star groove; all in a versatile yarn tool you won't ever work without. Outside dimensions are 6-1/2" dia. top rim x 5-3/4" deep (OD). Circumference is 23" around the middle. As for yarning... smaller yarn projects become more portable with panache. Easily pop in the biggest "Super Saver" ball of 4-ply or a few small balls of fingering or fine cotton with a bit of room to spare for small tools when your work is artfully set aside. Keeps up to 7oz yarn cakes from collapsing, just flip the cake upside down and feed through the star groove for perfect pulling. Bob's signature "star groove" is whimsical and smooth as silk. Also a great tool for "frogging" –frog into it, then it's an easy move if interrupted.

Made from a choice specimen of local cherry hardwood over a three-month period, over seventeen coats of finish/hand-buffing bring out the brilliant shine which made it hard to shoot photos without the reflections that show most on the darker tones when photographed. A final coat of imported museum wax is added before shipping to resist fingerprints and stains. One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered; #721 with "Cherry" (species) engraved as well.
