This XXL Cherry Yarn Bowl is nice 'n roomy for maximum versatility with an amethyst sparkle inlaid rim, Bob's first Starburst Groove, a raised base for added ballast, and a brilliant gloss finish turned into a functional collectible you won't ever want to yarn without. Amply shaped with a paw-proof 7-1/2" diameter (opening) x 6" deep it's rotund and roomy with a circumference of 32" around the middle. Projects are more portable with this stunning work bowl. When it's unpacked for yarning you'll easily fit an entire "Super Saver" 7 oz+ ball with plenty of room to spare, or an entire 16oz skein (see photos) for those who hate to roll yarn! Two small balls of 4-ply roll nicely OR, pull several smaller balls of fine/dk yarn simultaneously from the top with your cup hub in the middle to avoid tangling. Oversized yarn cakes and blanket yarns love this bowl; and, don't forget to use it for frogging! There's plenty of space to pile your work on top when you set your #wip aside for all to admire. No matter what the project, this will be the single yarning tool you won't want to work without.
Lovingly hand-crafted over four months; the unusually round shape is a bonus as fresh hardwoods can warp considerably while curing. The MESMERIZING grains in this piece are set into rich butter to cherry tones that will deepen over time. Over seventeen coats of finish/hand-buffing bring out the rich character of the wood tones and super shine. A final coat of imported museum wax was added to resist fingerprints and stains.The dimensions listed are approximate.
