Crafted like a fine musical instrument, this limited edition Extra Large Yarn Bowl is beautiful, functional and one of a select group that cannot be duplicated. Made from the wood of a Queensland Kauri tree (Botanical Name "Agathis Robusta") this bowl will hold a medium yarn project artfully.

Twelve coats of finish were applied and hand-buffed to bring out the rich character of the flowing caramel colored grains and golden wood tones. Silky smooth to the touch –this feature can't be captured in photos! Added "surprises" include  our proprietary shooting star yarn groove, and a slight warp for added personality. A final coat of museum wax was applied to resist fingerprints and stains. This finish on this piece is stunning!
A huge ball of yarn will roll nicely with room for your work in progress, tools, etc., when set aside. Measuring 9" in diameter x 4 5/8" deep, this yarn bowl is great stash busting madalas, scarves, mittens, gloves –midsize projects then doubles as a work bowl for a gigantic ball or yarn or biggest cake. Dimensions listed are approximate.  One-of-a-kind, signed and numbered; (#1055) with "Kauri" (species) engraved as well.
